Skunks are blind when they are born and they have little hair. Some skunks live in Canada but most skunks live in the USA. The striped skunk lives in most of the USA. Skunks have bushy tails and long fur. They look bigger than they are. The spotted skunk is the smallest. Skunks are omnivores. They eat plants and meat. The hog nosed skunk uses its nose to look for food. Skunks are not endangered. Sometimes they carry rabies. Rabies is a disease. Skunks spray a liquid called musk. A skunk can spray musk fifteen feet away.
